It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to UGC-HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (Acadmic Staff College), B. R. A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur(Bihar).

To provide appropriate opportunities for professional and career development, the National Policy on Education (NPE), 1986 proposed Academic Staff Orientation scheme to organize course for teachers as in service training and continuing education for fulfilling their roles and responsbilities effectively. University Grant Commission initiated this scheme and established Academic Staff Colleges in 1987 for strengthening human resource of higher education level. Academic Staff College renamed as HRDC (Human Resource Development Centre) with effect from April 01, 2015.

UGC-HRDC provides a platform, where in, the teachers get the opportunity through various referesher, orientation, short term courses and workshops that if organized time to time, the opportunity to update their respective disciplines. Following the UGC guidlines, HRDC organizes different courses for young teachers to expand the width of their knowledge. The quality of the teacher learning proceses in the UGC-HRDC is ensured by the participation of senior academicians from different universities of India.

UGC-HRDC (formerly acadmic staff college) was established in B.R.A. Bihar University, Muzaffarpur in 1987. We have so far organised 161 Refresher courses and 89 Orientation Courses till March 2020 along with many short term courses and Principal's meet. We have to do a lot in near future for young teachers.
